Rush, the band that always skips Denmark - Denmark, the country that never wants to have Rush.
No matter what, a Rush tour is always good for some travel activities.
Stockholm was already on the to-do list for a longer time so it was not so difficult to decide on where to check out the “Time Machine Tour 2011”.
I have to be honest, I have never been a fan of bands that always play the same old songs or those that dust off a 30 year old masterpiece to play it in its entirety.
Not so strange that I was a bit skeptical when it was announced that Rush would play Moving Pictures from start to end.
Not in the last place because most songs from the album are played almost every tour.
Highlight was not so surprisingly “the Camera Eye” (first time live since the Signals Tour) and Marathon (first time since the Presto tour).
Video’s, sound, light and the musicians were once again superb, alway has and always will be.
Rush should however be careful to not become one of these bands where you know the setlist upfront, and I sincerely hope that they drop most of these so called favorites the next tour and surprise us again.
